Why this comparison does not rank the two
Most pages that compare an operation with a device are built to move a reader toward one of them, and the layout says so before the text does: the device presented as the sensible first step, the operation as what you graduate to, or the reverse. That structure cannot be trusted by someone who is genuinely deciding, because it has already decided. This site compares a surgical lift and focal ultrasound as two options with different reach. Both columns carry the same weight, and neither is described as the default.
How the balance is kept
Each option has a guide that is candid about what it cannot do, and the two are held to the same standard. The ultrasound guide names the laxity it cannot correct, the tenderness and transient numbness afterwards, the cases where it should be declined and the fact that its effect fades; the surgical guide names nerve injury, haematoma, permanent scars, the anaesthetic, revision risk and the absence of any promised duration. The cost guide explains what drives a total without quoting a figure, because a figure on a website is not a quotation. One guide is given to the cases where neither is the answer.
How it is reviewed
Content is medically reviewed by Ke He, MD, head of skin and laser aesthetics at Chongqing West District Hospital, and the review date appears on every article. The surgical half of the comparison is reviewed with the centre's aesthetic surgeons. The site names no device brand and no product, quotes no dose, no energy setting and no price, guarantees no outcome, and states plainly that ultrasound fades and that a lift cannot be undone.
What no website can do
It cannot examine your face, tell you how much of the change is descent and how much is skin quality, or say whether your skin would hold a lifted result. Those answers require an examination, and the two options are chosen from it rather than before it. Read this site to arrive at that appointment able to ask more precise questions, not to arrive at a conclusion without it.
